Anahita Social Engine ™ Presentation at the Vancouver DemoCamp 07

This article has already been posted on the Anahitapolis blog, however for many who are still unaware of that website, here is the link. This event was organized by our wonderful friends Boris Mann, Sonia Ryan, and Roland Tanglao from the Bootup Entrepreneurial Society who gave us the spotlight for 30 minutes on July 7th 2009 at the WorkSpace in a room with at least 60-80 people from the vancouver technology community. Thank you so much for this opportunity guys!

Here is the video and since the slide show is not quite clear in it we have also embeded the presentation as a slideshare in this blog post for you. Thank you Roland for the great video that you’ve made. The the other project that presented after us was BuddyPress from Automattic. These are the same great folks who have devleoped the Wordpress blogging software.

Have you met the folks at the KontentCreative?

Because if you haven’t, you should! They are not just yet another branding and design company in Vancouver. These people have a long history in the design industry, doing projects for big lable companies and now they have teamed up and started a new company in a really cool spot in Gastown on Water Street.

We’ve always believed the best way to make friends is to be a friend! The KontentCreative team did just that and upon launching their blog they sent out a list of 5 simple questions to all their contacts and after collecting the feedbacks they made a blog post about every participant. Here is the one about us!

And we are more than happy to return the favour by writing how professional and skilled these people are when it gets to design and branding. Here are some bad iPhone pictures from our last visit to their studio. Perhaps next time we better show up with better cameras ;)

So here is to James Wallace, Jessica Wakeman, Guy Steuart
Christopher Dallin

Vancouver is looking forward to your innovations and success stories!

Come and Visit us in our new office!

Come and Visit us in our new office in Yaletown

Perhaps you have noticed the lack of activity on our blog and website. No we haven’t won any lottery tickets yet ( we don’t buy any ), but for the past few months we have been really busy with Client projects and also moved offices to Downtown Vancouver in the beautiful Yaletown area.

Our new office is located at #109 – 1118 Homer Street, Vancouver, BC (Google Map). We are the very social people offering Social Media solutions.

Yaletown, 14-Sep-08

When we take a break and go for a walk, this is our view.

Yaletown, 19-Sep-08

We are still unpacking and organizing the new location and try to keep up with the client projects in the same time.

Ash Sanieyan from PeerGlobe Technology. He is the best freakin Software Architect you can ever find

Yaletown, 17-Sep-08

My wonderful friend Elliot, brought us awesome chocolate goodies! This fellow is my hero!

Another good news is that we have been working hard lately on the Anahita Social Engine project with my wonderful team-mate Ash Sanieyan from Peer Globe Technology and some great help from the folks at the Joomlatools. We like to think that the public GPL release of Anahita will be out within 4 months or less. If you like to get constant updates regarding the progress of the project please feel free to subscribe to my tweets

We are at the Vancouver Joomla Day

We have around 120+ people in the room which is more than the number of people who attended the Tazzu WordPress Camp. Who thought that Joomla! is not as well known as Drupal or WordPress in Vancouver? We proved them all wrong!
